Problems continue to arise as the nuclear plant in Fukushima is recuperating from a devastating earthquake in 2011. The water pumped in to cool the fueling rods are contaminated with nuclear waste and now the issue of where this water can go arises. Into the sea will not be an option.

As a human being, it’s common to be asked, “Nice to meet you, where are you from?”
As an Asian American, it’s more common to then be asked, “No really, where are you REALLY from?”
It’s even MORE common to be asked by another Asian also. For instance, it just happened to me today.

There has been an uptick on Japanese students getting pink eye recently. How come you ask?
According to Japanese media, students are showing up to class with eye patches because they are licking each other’s eyeballs. Literally spreading the eye open and licking. Gross you say?
